I enjoy going to a Catholic School because I can learn more about my faith, have a smaller class size, and have the opportunity to attend Mass.
I can learn more about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit through the Bible stories we read and hear about. We can discuss, ask questions, and go on retreats, which are enjoyable, to learn more about our Catholic faith and how to be good Christians. I enjoy knowing that there are teachers that are able to talk about Jesus. We are lucky enough to have a special teacher that comes to our class and talks to us about being good Catholics and ways to live our lives by Jesus's example.
I also enjoy having a smaller school with a smaller class size. I can receive individual help in class on subjects that I might need extra help in. Since our class size is small we can also help each other.
We go to church as a school, to pray together. This is a special time when the students do the signing, readings, and bring up the gifts. We try to make the Mass more meaningful for us.
I like my school, St. Rene, and I am proud of it. I like going to a Catholic School. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Going to a Catholic School
Going to a Catholic School means a lot to me. A Catholic School allows us the freedom to learn about God. I learned about other things, but to me God is most important.
God helps people by forgiving people who have sinned. God also healed people when they were paralyzed and when they were blind. I learned that God helped free the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.God is very special to me.
The other things I have learned are to rename fractions in Math. In Social Studies, I have learned about the Middle Ages. In English, I have learned how to structure sentences to form paragraphs. I would not have made it this far if it was not for my parents help with my education. This is why I like going to a Catholic School.

St. Rene is a very good school, it maybe small, but that's the good thing. Everyone knows each other through friendship or through other students. Students and teachers here are friendly and willing to help anyone if they need. I've learned a lot here throughout the years and I'm still learning more today. We also have many activities, groups, and sports to do and play. On special days we may have dress down, and the money we raise go to charitable causes. We also have DARE and GREAT Programs for 5 & 7 grade, it also teaches you a lot like not to do drugs and what happens to people if they do.
I've been here since kindergarten and now I'm in 7th Grade. My mom has sacrificed everything for me to come here. For all the money she has put into my tuition, we could have went on many trips, but she wants me to have a good education. It goes to show you that it takes a lot of commitment and effort to be here where I am today. I'm glad I've had the chance to experience St. Rene.

WHY I ENJOY BEING IN A CATHOLIC SCHOOL
There are many reasons why I enjoy being in a Catholic School. One reason is that I am able to learn and talk about Jesus. I can also join a program called rainbows. The final reason I will be talking about is the one most people enjoy, sports.
Jesus is the #1 reason why I enjoy being in a Catholic School. After all Jesus is who I will be spending the rest of my life with after my temporary life on Earth. Another good reason is that I am taught Religion right in my classroom, and I do not have to go to C.C.D. classes on Saturday mornings.
The program rainbows is available to the students who have deaths or losses in their family. I am in the program myself because of a couple of losses in my family. I really think that they are missing out on a lot of fun and interesting things that they don't learn.
Another reason I like going to a Catholic School is because of the sports the school offers to the students. Having the ability to join these sports makes me more proud of my school. The students at a public school will have to join these sports according to their C.C.D. program.
I hope these reasons help you understand why being in a Catholic School is so important to me. I think that we are very lucky to have all of this, in our school. If my mom didn't choose a Catholic School for me, I would have anyway if I had the choice. I am so glad my parents made the sacrifice to send me to St. Rene.

Why I go to St. Rene
I go to St. Rene for many reasons. At St. Rene we get a better education. We also have a lot of activities here. Since this is a Catholic School, we can learn about God. These are the reasons I go to St. Rene.
I get a better education at St. Rene. The education is better because it is a smaller school. This means I get more attention. We also get a better education because we have a great principal. She is great because she knows everyone by name.
St. Rene has a lot of activities. Some of these activities are band, choir, softball, and cheerleading. We also have science lab. In science lab we get to use equipment to do experiments.
We are able to have all these activities, and our school, because we have great parishioners who support our school by giving money at mass each week. I am really thankful for all their help. They make my school great!
I like going to St. Rene because it's Catholic and we get to learn about God. We attend Mass together. When we go to Mass, each grade is in charge of the Mass. We have religion class every day in school. We also pray together in our class every day.
These are my reasons for going to St. Rene. I get a better education here. I also have a lot of fun here because there are a lot of activities. Lastly, I get to learn about God. I think St. Rene is the best school!

Why I go to St. Rene School
I go to St. Rene for many reasons. One reason is that we have a lot of activities. A second reason is that we have really good teachers. Another reason is that we learn about God, since St. Rene is Catholic.
We have a lot of activities at school. We have science lab, sports, band, choir, computers, library, cheerleading and many more. Some sports we have are softball, volleyball, bowling, basketball, and football. In science lab, this is my first year participating in the science fair. I am in a lot of other activities and I really enjoy them.
We have really good teachers at St. Rene. You can tell that they should have been teachers when they were our age. They are helpful and kind. If you have a problem at school, you can count on them to help you solve it.
We learn a lot about God at St. Rene. Almost every Friday we go to Mass with every grade. We also have religion every day and we learn a lot about Jesus' life and how to be like him.
These are just some of the reasons why I go to St. Rene. We have a lot of activities, we have really good teachers, and we learn about God. We also have wonderful parishioners here at St. Rene who do a lot to support our school. I am very thankful to them for all they do for my school. I think that every school in the world should be like St. Rene.

To go to a Catholic School
To go to a Catholic School today means a lot. Not that long ago, many children went to Catholic Schools that were taught and run by all nuns. Since then Catholic Schools have changed, because expenses have sky-rocketed. Cost of a Catholic education is a huge change. Parents as well as the parish family make a Catholic education a reality for many students. To all who are so generous, support and believe in Catholic education special thanks from every St. Rene student.
To be able to go to a Catholic school means very much to me. It is a place that I am able to learn about my Christian faith in addition to the other academic subjects. In public schools, you are not allowed to talk about your religion, but at St. Rene School we are able to openly talk about issues that the world faces and discuss the different ways Catholics think, compared to the thoughts of the other religions of the world.
At St. Rene Goupil School we learn about the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the history and traditions of the Church. We learn the difference between right and wrong and have religious guidelines to help us along the way. During class we discussed the Beatitude about peacemakers. We talked about how we like Jesus can all be peacemakers, and are encouraged to practice what we learn each day.
For these wonderful opportunities thank you Mom and Dad, Father Tom, Mrs. DeSantis and the teachers, and every St. Rene parishioner that believes in our school.

Going to a Catholic School in 2005
Going to a Catholic school in 2005 is being a part of a community. I have learned many things about being a Catholic here at St. Rene. I think the three most important things I learned during my years here are: St. Rene will always be a part of me, I have a responsibility to my faith, and Jesus loves me no matter what happens.
I have attended St. Rene School since kindergarten. I have learned the Ten Commandments here and received four of my sacraments--Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion, and Confirmation. St. Rene School taught me about my faith. I have to show what I have learned to other people. It is my responsibility to share my faith. Most of all we are taught about Jesus' love for us.
Lastly, going to a Catholic School in 2005 is being part of a community. In this community, we share our faith with others. We celebrate our Sacraments together, and we are taught about Jesus' love for us. Special thanks to Father Tom, Mrs. DeSantis, all of the teachers, the parish organizations, and the people of the parish for their hard work and many contributions that make St. Rene a strong school. Also thank you to all parents. Your commitment to Catholic education is a gift of faith to your children.

I like St. Rene because as soon as you walk in the school doors you feel a warm and welcoming atmosphere. One of the best things in this world that means to me is family and school. Family to me means love, friendship, respect and a warm tickling feeling in my heart. On the other hand, school to means, life, future, knowledge, and a great education.
In our school we have many different learning capabilities. We have many choices of classes, including learning a different language. We have a state of the art science lab which helps us to study the subject better. We have a wonderful library that has numerous books. We have a computer class that has helped me learn the computer to the best of my knowledge. We have the most wonderful teachers who have helped me over the years to be the best person I can be. St. Rene also has tutoring for children who need it. Students are really close with each other and the teachers. Every teacher knows every student; we are people here, not numbers.
St. Rene is one the best schools a child could attend. I have enjoyed my years here and hope all the futures students will feel the same way.
