Lectors & Ministers of Communion
WOULD YOU LIKE TO BECOME MORE INVOLVED AT MASS?
Have you ever thought about being a communion minister or a reader and just don't know if you qualify?  Perhaps you were in one of those roles in a former parish and would like to consider this here at St Rene. There is a need for more people who feel called to serve our parish community in these ways. Stop by our table display and give us your name and phone number if you are interested in knowing more about these ministries. You will be trained to know the mechanics of the role you chose as well as insights in that role. There is a workbook for readers so they know the readings in advance and can practice.

Both roles are about sharing your faith with others by the way you regard the Holy Vessels or the Holy Book. In training you will learn about how to proclaim the Bible readings. Stop by our table and speak with some of our readers and communion ministers who will be available at each Mass. Pick up some information on display table and take it home. If you feel drawn to a particular role, talk with Father Tom. When are you scheduled? When are you available? All this is taken into consideration when Debbie puts the schedule together.

Christ Renews His Parish
Christ Renews His Parish is a new and exciting ministry at St. Rene's. Each CHRP weekend is conducted by a team of parishioners, just like yourselves. It is a weekend of spiritual renewal which emphasizes continued growth in your Christian life and in your daily contact with others. The weekend offers an excellent opportunity  to move away from your regular activities and commitments to be spiritually and personally enriched in a friendly, relaxing, yet highly stimulating environment within our own parish. You will share conversation and thoughts (as much or as little as you desire) with others in the parish who are as challenged as you are with the many demands of everyday life represented by families, society, and jobs. Each year, one weekend for men and one for women will be conducted in the parish.
Our coming retre at weekends are:
Men's weekend         April 25th and 26th
Women's weekend   April 4th and 5th
