ST. RENE STUDENT MEDALS AT ACADEMIC OLYMPICS
St. Rene 8th grader, scored 1st Place in the Social Studies catagory at the Academic Olympics sponsored by St. Rita High School.

Over 100 boys and girls from area elementary schools were invited to compete in a series of standardized tests in the subjects of Math, Social Studies, English and Science.

Testing in each catagory was timed and 1st through 3rd place medals were awarded in each of the catagories.

Also there was a 7th grader competing for St Rene School.

Two of our 8th graders were awarded the St. Laurence Leader/Scholar Award due to their outstanding leadership skills in the classroom, at church and in the community!  Only a select group of grammar school students are chosen for this honor!

Another 8th grader is a recipient of the St. Rita of Cascia High School Mustang Award!  He was awarded this honor based on his performance on the Entrance Exam. We look forward to seeing him on campus as a member of the Class of 2013.

Five of our recent St. Rene graduates, have maintained honor roll status at DeLaSalle High School this year.  These achievements speak to the excellent academic foundation St. Rene provides our children!

Leaders, achievers, strong character = St. Rene Students!

Spread this good news to everyone! We have a lot to brag about!

Congratulations to St. Rene Goupil School 7th grader for 2nd place winner in the 7th grade boys category in Congressman Dan Lipinski’s All American Boy & Girl Essay Contest. His essay was one of 96 entries chosen out of over 1,500 entries received. In his essay, he stated why he felt he was a great candidate for the award. Winning essays were chosen based on students’ academic and personal achievements as well as leadership and service to school and community. At an awards banquet held on May 9, 2011, Congressman Dan Lipinski presented him with a $50 saving bond and a Certificate of Achievement.
Congratulations also to two of our 7th grade students and three of our 8th grade students for being St. Rene essay finalists.

St. Rene School was recognized by the Holy Childhood Association
as one of the top five supporting schools in the Archdiocese.

The HCA advocates "children helping children" and is a group that makes it possible for students to help some of the poorest children of the world through prayer and financial offerings.

Thank you to Mrs. Healy, last year's and this year's 4th graders for teaching us about HCA!
